The world is your playground.

So, flash mobs and street theatre is becoming more popular and brands should be taking advantage of these techniques in unique and memorable ways. 

Here is a group that specialise in this type of street entertaiment, they do unbranded entertainment, but think what this kind of group could do for your brand.

Flash, ah ha, in Woolworths!

So a few weeks ago, Woolworths decided to launch their new range of boots with a flash mob dance scene in the Woolworths Store in Canal Walk.

This is what I thought of the flash mob launch idea:

Although I love the idea of the Flash Mob and wish more companies would use the concept, I think Woolworths missed the boat a little.  The point of a Flash Mob is to reinforce your brand or product and I think the launch of the Woolworths boots were missed - not in an EPIC FAIL way, but it a MEDIOCRE FAIL way.  Next time make sure you get your message across.
